Steamed mussels are just amazing. You can eat them just like this and they will be delicious. If you want to dip them in sauce, add garlic and parsley, lemon...you can, but just steamed...awesome.
INGREDIENTS
2lb of fresh mussels
1/2 Cup of water
1/4 Cup of white wine
1 Lemon
STEP BY STEP
1. Clean the mussels. They have an annoying "beard" that you need to pull off or you can always cook them and take it while you eat...
2. In a pot add a bit of water and set the heat on medium.
3. Put the mussels in the pot and cover.
4. After a little bit, when the water is heated and starting to steam, add the white wine and cover again.
5. After 7-8 minutes check if all the mussels are open, if they are...you are done! Try not to overcook them or they will shrink and taste chewy.
I love to add some lemon juice to them and have a nice glass of "Albariño" wine. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTES
1Kg de Mejillones frescos
1/2 taza de agua
1/4 taza de vino blanco
1 Limón
PASO A PASO
¡Disfrutad!
