All I can say about this one my friends is that...croquettes are probably the best meal in the entire world. There has been wars, divorces, family fights over who would eat the last croquette on the plate. The only problem...it is a pain to cook these motherf*****s.
INGREDIENTS
Milk
Flour
Prosciutto
Onion
Parsley
Olive oil
Salt
Bread Crumbs
Beaten egg
STEP BY STEP
1. You have to cook the bechamel sauce, which is the foundation of this meal and it's a little bit hard to do it right. In a frying pan add olive oil, onion and the prosciutto. Cook the prosciutto well.
2. Add flour and parsley and mix everything well.
3. Now we start the tricky part. Add some milk to it but don't stop stiring. Once it's getting dense or you see that it makes a paste...add more milk and keep stiring and making the bechamel creamy and loose.
4. Once you reached enough amount of bechamel, you have to cook it until it doesn't stick to the pan. ALWAYS KEEP STIRING.
5. Once you see that is dense and the dough doesn't stick to the pan...bechamel for croquettes is done!
6. You have to let it cool for about 1 or 2 hours.
7. Now is time to make the croquettes. First you take some dough with a spoon, put it in flour and try to make it a cilinder. Then you dip it in beaten egg and then you bread the croquette. Easy! Do the same thing until you run out if dough (it's a complete pain I know...but totally worth it)
8. Fry the croquettes in Olive oil and enjoy them!
Absolutely worth it, right? I love croquettes over everything else. Almost every single time I go to a restaurant in Spain I ask for these bast***s. With french fries...awesome.
INGREDIENTES
Leche
Jamón Serrano
Harina
Perejil
Cebolla
Aceite de Oliva
Sal
Pan rallado
Huevo
PASO A PASO
